Am descoperit untul de corp Fennel în urm? cu vreo doi ani, la un hipermarket Kaufland. Ar?ta ca unturile de corp de la The Body Shop și trebuie s? recunosc c?, în prim? faz?, ambalajul a fost cel care m-a convins s? cump?r acest produs. Acum pot s? spun c? nu pot tr?i f?r? el. E ieftin (în jur de 10-12 lei), miroase fantastic, hidrateaz? fantastic. Dup? epilare, îmi apar mici urme/cicatrici  pe picioare, iar untul ?sta de corp e singurul care a reușit s? lupte cu ele așa cum mi-am dorit.

L-am avut în diverse variante, iar ultimul încercat era cu arom? de plumeria. L-am cump?rat împreun? cu revista Femeia, în urm? cu câteva luni, pentru c? era singura variant? r?mas? la acel moment. Trebuie s? v? spun c? nu-s genul de persoan? c?reia s?-i plac? aromele florale. Aleg cu bucurie vanilia, cireșele sau nuca de cocos, în defavoarea aromelor florale. Așadar, m? așteptam, înc? dinainte de a-l deschide, s?-mi displac? mirosul.  S-a dovedit, îns?, un miros fresh, curat, pe care l-am îndr?git instantaneu. Potrivit ambalajului, produsul conține unt de shea.

Folosesc untul de corp Fennel în special pe partea inferioar? a mâinilor și a picioarelor și îl aplic în fiecare sear?, înainte de a merge la culcare. Se absoarbe foarte repede în piele și o las? moale, f?r? senzația aceea de piele gras?.

Am folosit, de asemenea, și scrubul Fennel și trebuie s? recunosc c? e, de departe, cel mai bun scrub avut vreodat?. Și v? explic și de ce. Cum spuneam, dup? fiecare epilare dureroas?, cap?t mici r?ni, cojițe, care se înc?p?țâneaz? s? dispar? greu. înainte de a descoperi Fennel, am încercat tot felul de scruburi, unele destul de scumpe, pentru a sc?pa de inesteticele semne. Unele au funcționat mai bine, altele deloc, îns? dup? ce am descoperit și am folosit Fennel, pielea mea arat? mult mai bine. Singura problem? e c? nu reușesc s? g?sesc scrubul Fennel și-l caut de vreo șase luni. Unde au untul de corp, nu au și scrubul… între timp, folosesc gommage-ul de la Sephora, care se descurc? așa și așa.

Citeam, deun?zi, prin comentariile de pe un alt blog, o întrebare – “De ce încerci produse ieftine, când poți s? încerci mai scumpe?” și aș vrea s? profit de acest mini-review pentru Fennel s? punctez o idee. Am folosit, ani de zile, scruburi și unturi de corp de nu le mai știu numele. La fel și în cazul cremelor de ochi sau al celor pentru tenul mixt cu imperfecțiuni. Unele dintre ele scumpe, altele ieftine. De ce le-am încercat? Pentru c? ai o problem? pe care cauți s? o rezolvi folosind diferite produse. Firește c? încerci ce ți se pare c? se adreseaz? problemei tale și când cauți un astfel de produs, adeseori nu te gândești prea mult la preț – nici când e prea scump, nici când e ieftin. Pentru c? ai o problem? de rezolvat.

Dac? aș fi mers pe pricipiul “folosesc doar produse scumpe”, aș fi trecut f?r? s? știu pe lâng? una dintre cele mai bune creme pentru ochi, pe lâng? unul dintre cele mai bune geluri de duș și tot așa. Nu spun c? nu e OK, c? nu e fun s? încerci și produse scumpe. Sigur, în funcție de buget, mai devreme sau mai târziu, încerci. Dar aici vorbim despre the big picture și, dup? umila mea p?rere, nu poți avea the big picture dac? ratezi detalii doar pentru c?… sunt ieftine.

O duminic? de vis v? doresc!

I discovered Fennel Body Butter a couple of years ago, in a Kaufland hypermarket. It looked like those body butters from The Body Shop and I must admit that its packaging was the reason I bought it at the time. Now, I may say I can’t and won’t live without it. It’s cheap (about $3), it smells great, it moisturizes great. I tend to get nasty little spots on my legs, after hair removing and this body butter is the only one that puts up with them as I wish.

I’ve had it in different versions, the last one I tried was the plumeria one. I bought it along with Femeia magazine, a couple of months ago, and it was the only version left when I bought the magazine. I have to say that I’m not a floral smell person, I tend to chose vanilla, cherry, coconut flavors over the floral ones. And I also have to say that before opening it I was sure I’m going to hate the smell. Well, it tured out to have a luxurious, clean, fresh smelll which I loved.

I use Fennel body butter especially on the lower half of my legs and hands, every single night before going to sleep. It is quickly absorbed into the skin and it leaves it soft, without that greasy feeling.

I also used the Fennel body scrub and I must admit that it is, by far, the best scrub I ever had. And I’ll explain my statement. As I was saying, I tend to get nasty little marks after the painful process of hair removing. Before discovering Fennel, I tried all kinds of expensive products, in order to get rid of those marks. They worked so and so, but after using Fennel, my skin is in a far better condition than before. The only little problem is that I can’t seem to find the Fennel body scrub and I’ve been searching for it for almost six months. In all the places I find the Fennel brand, they only have the body butter, not the scrub. Meanwhile, I’m using the Sephora gommage, that does a so and so work.

“Why do you try cheap products when you can try the expensive ones?”

I was reading, a couple of days ago, on another blog, a comment asking “Why do you try cheap products when you can try the expensive ones” and I would like to take advantage of this mini-review I’ve made for Fennel to point out something. I used, for years, so many scrubs and body butters that I forgot their names, so many eye creams and face creams that I forgot their names. Some of them were expensive, some of them were cheap. Why did I use them? Beacause you have a problem and you are looking for a solution trying different products. Of course, you are trying what suites you and your problem and, when you’re searching for such a product, you often don’t spend so much time thinking about the price tag – too expensive or too cheap, beacause you have a probem that needs to be solved.

If I would have obeyed the principle “I only use expensive products”, I would have passed by, without even knowing it, one of the best eye creams, one of the best shower gels and so on and so forth. I’m not saying it’s not OK, nor fun to try expensive products too. Sure, according to your budget, sooner or later, you try them. But we are talking about the big picture and, in my humble opinion, you can’t have the big picture if you’re missing details just because they’re… cheap.
